Installation steps
for PC computers
1. Click on the following link InstallNaskapiFonts.exe
to download the PC font installer.
2. Select a folder where to download the file and click the Save
button.
3. After the download is finished go to the folder you have selected
and double-click the file InstallNaskapiFonts.exe.
4. Follow the instructions to install the required fonts.
5. Hit the Refresh (or Reload) button in your browser.
If you see the syllabics between the parenthesis (ᐃᔪᐤ
ᐃᔨᒧᐅᓐ) then stop; if not, then continue to next step.
6. Close your browser and open it again so it can recognize the
new installed fonts. If you can see the syllabics then stop; if
not, then continue to next step.
7. Reboot your computer. If the Naskapi syllabics still do not
appear, please send us an email.
Recommended browsers for proper Unicode display on PC computers:
. Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or later
. Mozilla Firefox 1.0 or later
. Netscape 6.2 or later
. Opera 6 or later
Installation steps for Macintosh OS
X computers
Please note that Macintosh OS 9 browsers don't support the Unicode
format.
1. Click on the following links bjcrus.ttf
and bjcrusb.ttf to download
the required fonts.
2. Copy the downloaded files to the following folder in your
Macintosh HD:
users > "user name" > Library > Fonts where
"user name" is the name of the user currently logged
on the computer.
3. Hit the Refresh (or Reload) button in your browser.
If you see the syllabics between the parenthesis (ᐃᔪᐤ
ᐃᔨᒧᐅᓐ) then stop; if not, then continue to next step.
4. Close your browser and open it again so it can recognize the
new installed fonts. If you can see the syllabics then stop; if
not, then continue to next step.
5. Reboot your computer. If the Naskapi syllabics still do not
appear, please send us an email.
